9th Udgam Women’s Achiever’s Award

The Udgam Charitable Trust is proud to announce the 9h annual Udgam Women’s Achiever’s Awards.For over 8 years, the Awards have shared and celebrated the stories of brilliant women, inspiring a nation in the process. From all walks of life, these women have been celebrated for their remarkable spirit, achievements and leadership.

This event is designed to recognize outstanding women who have made significant contributions to community as determined by our judging panel. Self-nominations are welcome.

Eligible nominees must:

  1. Live and work (individuals) or operate (businesses and organizations)
  2. Satisfy each of the nomination criteria for their award category
  3. Consent to the nomination and the publication of her/their name, photo and information
  4. Be available to attend the event full time on Friday, March 9, 2018.

A Woman of Distinction inspires others. She has achieved outstanding success in her field by:

  1. Breaking new ground or old barriers
  2. Showing vision, creativity and initiative
  3. Being a leader and role model
  4. Participating actively as a volunteer
  5. Being recognized by her community for her sustained commitment and contributions within her category (i.e. awards, accolades)


Complete all fields on the form, including:

  1. Nominee and nominator information with contact details
  2. Summary of nomination (50-70 words maximum)
  3. Brief story (300 words maximum)
  4. Letters of support
  5. Optional: supplemental materials


The UWAA reviews all submissions for completeness and eligibility. All accepted nominations are forwarded to an independent Judging Panel. The UWAA and Judging Panel reserve the right to withhold/add an award in any category.
The Udgam Women’s Achiever’s Awards encourages nominations that showcase individuals who are driving positive change either directly or by example. Activities and achievements of all potential nominees must align with the UWAA’s values. The UWAA reserves the right to revoke an award if subsequent circumstances respecting the recipient contradict the mission, ethics and / or values of UWAA or bring its reputation into disrepute. The nominee or nominator may withdraw the nomination before the award ceremony. The withdrawal must be made in writing, notifying the nominator/nominee and the UWAA of the withdrawal. The UWAAA will accept the withdrawal, effective immediately.
